How To Do Some Secret Advertising For Your Blog Or Website
Hello my friend! This is going to be short and sweet. I am sharing a little know traffic source to your blog or website.
No, it's not artical marketing, traffic exchanges, forum posting or anything like that.
It's Amazon.com!
So by now your saying to yourself, "I am already sell my merchandise on Amazon" or "what does Amazon have to do with advertising"?
Nope! That is not what I am talking about. The secret is an Amazon profile!
Did you know you can make an Amazon profile and have a picture of you with a disription of you, your interests and add a link to your site?
I bet you didn't.
This is a great way of a traffic source to your site and to get your brand and information about you out there. It's a whole communty on Amazon.
Now, how would they learn about you and what you are about? Simple! Just do reviews on different products that are on amazon after you set up your profile page. They will see your review and check out who you are. You will have your site linkup and all they have to do is click on it and there you go. A new person has just learned a little about you and they will see your site.
This is good for a good backlink to you site also.
Here is my profile page. Nothing fancy. Just a little about me, my picture and link.
Let me know what you think and leave me a link to your profile page.

Are Toys For Men Or For Boys?
With so many new “toys” around nowadays it’s hard to figure the aim of the toy market.
My 9 year old son Jack got a visit from Santa recently. Santa was very good to Jack – he got him an IPod and a PSP – the exact same as I got. I grew up playing games and totally love the PSP – it’s like the toy I dreamed of when I was younger, and now that I have my IPod I don’t know how I suffered the bus to work without it.
But how old do you get before you forget about kids toys and move on to big boys toys? It only seems like yesterday that I was shopping at kids stores for Jack. The last present I remember going into town to get him was one of those kids easel things for doing his paintings (one of these things). And now, only a couple of years later he’s playing with the same things as me.
Is he growing up too fast? Am I not growing up fast enough? Or is it just society that is moving so fast for us that age differences are starting to disappear into the past?
Can technology become the bridge over the generation-gap? Will the future bring the ultimate toy/gadget that will be the essential of everyone young and old? I’m continually astounded nowadays at some of the new products that are constantly hitting the market. Yesterday I was browsing online and came across the new Sony “walkman phone” (http://www.sonyericsson.com ). This is where I see it all going – the “everything in one” phone. The new walkman phone does more than just a phone – it’s also your IPod, and your PSP. The walkman phone has the same amount of memory as my IPod (2Gb) and can do everything my IPod does – it comes with a USB cable for downloading from your computer, and can hook up to play your MP3s in your car, just like the IPod. It also plays games – games of better quality than the games I grew up with!
I thought that the PSP was what I dreamed of having when I was a child, but it was actually one of these things – a gadget that is everything you want, and fits right into your pocket. What next can technology produce to astound me?
I think that Jack will be showing me the next thing that technology has to shock me. When I was a child there were adult things, and children things. But not today – now we have the same things; and Jack can beat me at any game when we link up our PSPs, and he also showed me how to put my music from my computer to my IPod. Maybe the question isn’t whether technology will bring kids into the same level of adults, but does it put children on a much higher plane to us??

Remembering Don Cornelius Creator of Soul Train Dead at 75 and My Tribute
Remembering Don Cornelius Creator of Soul Train Dead at 75 and my Tribute.
Generations of music lovers are mourning the death of "Soul Train" producer/host Don Cornelius, who was found dead in his L.A. home. Cornelius created the music and dance show that became a staple of African-American culture. "Soul Train" was a Saturday-morning must see. It also was the longest running first run nationally syndicated show in television history.
Long before MTV, VH1, and even BET there was Don Cornelius and Soul Train, consistently providing exposure on television for R&B and Soul artists who up until that time could only be seen on shows like the Ed Sullivan Show, American Bandstand and, once in a while, an NBC special (remember The Temptations and Supremes TCB?) Mr. Cornelius helped changed the landscape of Saturday morning television and influenced the entire American culture.
Soul Train was a staple for ALL YOUNG AMERICANS, and a part of American culture. We didn't watch sesame street, but we watched soul train, everyone I knew did, it was a part of growing up, the part we loved, ALL of us! If you liked music, boogie or not, we ALL got on the SOUL TRAin! So rest in peace, Mr. Cornelius, we ALL appreciate the CULTURE you let us ALL share.
I am truly saddened as well are many others by his passing.
I can remember I couldn't wait for Saturday mornings to come to watch Soul Train. This is when music was simple and fun. The music on Soul Train didn't have any special effects or the new mixers that they have now. It was straight up, down right buggie music and Don says the same thing...
Personally, I feel that MTV, VH1 and BET should run a Soul Train Marathon in honor of Don Cornelius. Those video channels just don't know how important he was to their very existence. American Bandstand was good... but it didn't groove nearly as hard as Soul Train did. It's a shame that not many people are talking about Don and the wonderful show that he brought to the world for over 35 years.
An interview above with Don Cornelius and Herb Kent on radio station V103
Above is Don Cornelius on Soul Train in 1973.
This is the version that I LOVE of the Soul Train Themes!
